RAMIRAN task groups

How the network organised questions around emissions, nutrients, soil quality, treatment and policy.

Historical task groups made a broad field easier to study together. The later page identified five areas: air quality, legislation, nutrient utilisation, soil quality and treatment. Earlier groups covered hygiene, gaseous emissions, heavy metals, on-farm residues and composting.

Air & emissionsWhat is lost during housing, storage and application?
Nutrient useHow can recovered nutrients meet crop demand without oversupply?
Soil & treatmentWhat changes in the material, and what does the receiving soil need?

These historical themes also shape our research guides.
